Become a mentor

Volunteer at your local school or community center

Get involved in pet therapy. You can train your dog, become certified and visit nursing homes, hospitals, schools and libraries (depending on your community)

Spend an extra half hour with your children or pets today

Turn off excess lights and appliances, and conserve water in your home and office today

Discuss a fire-safety plan with your family

Ask the next person you meet something about themselves, and really listen to the answer

Read a classic book, then donate it to your local library

Change your electric company to one that is environmentally responsible (green)
